Something disturbs your peaceful sleep, and it's up to you to restore the peace. This game is a short little Zelda-like adventure with dungeons, keys, enemies, upgrades and a final boss fight. The game was made with GB Studio, and for my second game ever, I'm really proud of how it turned out.

I made all of the graphical assets and wrote all the music myself.

Loved playing this. Perfectly executed.

Just one thing - at the very end after you defeated the boss and it tells you 'the land is in peace, you may return to your slumber' you actually can return, but your coffin still tells you how the land is in unrest.

Maybe if you like, we could have a little post-game challenge and have the map filled with loads of monsters, maybe of the more aggressive sort, but stop the re-spawn. So we could clear the map one last time but from outside in. The coffin then could tell us how successful we were mopping up the rest and give the real ending. Just an idea.

Btw, has anyone got an idea why I can't rate this game?

Wait, just to make sure I understand you correctly - it's not like you beat the boss, and then the coffin still wouldn't let you roll credits?

If I understand you correctly, your idea is to let the coffin trigger some sort of post-game content, right? I don't know yet if I'll go back to working on this game. I probably won't, but in any case, it's a really fun suggestion, so thanks 😀 And thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

EDIT: no idea why you can't rate it, but I'll look into it 🤔

You got that right. I did beat the boss, was teleported to the last save point and got the message that I could go back to sleep now. Made my way back and  then at my coffin I got the original message how I've got to free the land. No credits.

EDIT: just seen there is a header bar where I can rate it. Most get got these bars that are sprawled on the top right corner. It's actually much better that way. Just didn't expect it there so didn't look for it.

It sounds like you died while beating the boss, if you were teleported to the last save? If so, the game hasn't saved after you beat the boss, and the game still doesn't "know" that you've beaten the boss. Whatever happened, if you were teleported to a save that you made before beating the boss, the game wouldn't register that the boss has been beaten 🤔 if you beat the boss, the game should let you walk back to the coffin, (with different music and no enemies now) which should display a message saying that you can rest. Idk, maybe I'm still not understanding you right, but it sounds weird - I'll try looking into it at some point 😄

Well made! This is only your second GBStudio game, but feels very polished :) It's fun, no annoying music, and has a fitting world size. I can't wait to see what you gonna make next ;)
